Topographic Surveys are commonly undertaken to define surface features of an area, including its relief, by means of contours and spot heights, and physical features such as banks, cliffs, dunes, rivers, lakes and artificial features such as roads, street furniture, buildings and structures.  A topographic survey may be commissioned by a variety of different clients for equally varied purposes, such as: 3D modelling, Hydraulic Modelling, Quarry reserves, Archaeological sites, Landscaping, Planning, Elevations, Architectural, Environmental and Coastal Zone Management.  Surveys can be conducted using Robotic Total Station, GNSS, Photogrammetry and Laser Scanning.

Data processing and visualisation is carried out using Terramodel, Leica Geomatics Office and Pix4D which are used to produce Digital Terrain Models (DTM), contours, detail plans, cross-sections, elevations and data quality reports. Data can be output in a variety of different formats including: .dwg/.dxf, .las, xyz, ASCII text. In fact virtually any 3-Dimensional object can be surveyed and presented as a 2D or 3D model
